demarcation of coastal boundaries :The demarcation of boundaries of Coastal Zones is a competence of the State Adminstration. The Autonomous Government has competence in spatial and coastal planning including authorisations and sanctions in protective coastal easements. Data on definitive boundaries has been included. It is possible to display data on landmarks that make up the boundary demarcation line as well as the line itself, the shoreline, and servitudes of passage and protective easements. Information has been taken from the boundary demarcation projects carried out by the Directorate General of Coasts of the Ministry of Environment, the landmarks have been included directly with the UTM coordinates set in these projects from which the different lines have been generated. Areas that do not have precise coordinate definition will be included at a later stage. The catographic base is the official catographic scale of the Region 1:5.000. Data can be currently found on demarcation of costal boundaries for the following municipalities:
